Is it safe for me to spray catnip spray on my bedding, to get my kitten to sleep on my bed? <33? - sleep spray

Sleep instead of 6 months my cat better still in my chair at night to sleep with me. I really want to sleep in my bed, but nothing seems to work, always goes back to my chair! He seems to like the smell of catnip. Is it wrong if I sprayed it on my bed? The bottle says it is not toxic. Krazy Kitty is the brand if it makes a difference ..
